sometimes I put a caveat on my prayers
an “if not, no worries” to God
please forgive me for having the gall
to think I deserve anything at all
thank you for reading! this is part four of my “Notes Poems” series. I have a bad habit of writing poems in the notes on my phone when I first think of them, and leave them there for months or to never be seen. I’m challenging myself to post them instead, whether I think they have meaning or make any sense at all — because what is writing if not creative experimentation?
