we’ve been talking more, recently
I noticed today
it feels cozy and comfy and warm
absolute nothings
carry the weight of me forward
with alacritous, exuberant care
it’s a delicate balance
in this most broken of worlds
but i’m glad we could find it again
thank you for reading! this is part six of my “Notes Poems” series. I have a bad habit of writing poems in the notes on my phone when I first think of them, and leave them there for months or to never be seen. I’m challenging myself to post them instead, whether I think they have meaning or make any sense at all — because what is writing if not creative experimentation?
